Manager - Mine Planning & Production

Job Summary:

Mine Planning Professional

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage

  short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans

  for coal mines
• Design and implement

  mine layouts, production schedules, and equipment deployment plans

• Analyze geological data, production targets, and operational constraints to optimize resource extraction
• Collaborate with geology, survey, and operations teams for accurate planning and execution
• Monitor and evaluate production performance against the mine plan and recommend improvements
• Ensure mine planning complies with

  statutory, safety, and environmental regulations

• Prepare and submit reports, technical documents, and plan updates to senior management and regulatory authorities
• Use advanced mine planning software such as

  MineScape, SURPAC, Minex, or similar

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to strategic business planning
• Support project development and feasibility studies for new mine blocks or expansion projects
• Train and mentor junior planning engineers or mine planners as needed

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field (Masters preferred)
• Valid DGMS Certificate (First Class / Second Class Mine Managers Certificate if applicable)
• Minimum

  10 years of experience

  in

  coal mine planning and production

• Strong understanding of

  open-cast and/or underground coal mining methods

• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., MineScape, Minex, Surpac)
• Good knowledge of Indian mining laws, safety regulations, and environmental compliance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to both Government and Private sector coal mining projects
• Experience in handling statutory documentation and regulatory approvals
• Ability to coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and local authorities
