Manager - Material Store

As a Procurement and Inventory Manager in a hospital setting, your role involves planning, coordinating, and managing the procurement and inventory of materials and supplies. You will be responsible for maintaining optimum stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for procurement, storage, handling, and distribution of materials will be part of your key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise the receiving, inspection, and proper storage of incoming goods - Ensure materials meet quality assurance standards and hospital requirements - Coordinate with hospital departments to assess and fulfill their supply needs - Negotiate with vendors and manage supplier relationships for best pricing and terms - Manage the material store team, providing training and supervision - Monitor stock movement, conduct cycle counts, and support audits - Implement inventory management software systems for efficient record-keeping - Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including handling hazardous materials - Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the storage area - Prepare reports on stock status, purchase orders, and cost savings - Coordinate emergency supply and backup plans during shortages or crises Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum 8 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred As a Full-time, Permanent employee, you will be required to work in person at the designated work location.,
