MANAGER-LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Role Overview: As the Manager Training & Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training programs to enhance the sales effectiveness, product knowledge, and customer service skills of retail staff. Your role will involve continuous development of employees to drive sales performance, improve customer experience, and support overall business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute training strategies aligned with retail sales goals. - Identify skill gaps through performance analysis, feedback, and sales results. - Prepare annual/quarterly training calendars. - Design engaging training modules including classroom, on-the-job, e-learning, and role plays. - Deliver induction training for new hires and refresher training for existing staff. - Create product knowledge sessions, upselling & cross-selling techniques, and customer service training. - Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and sales KPIs. - Track productivity improvement post-training and suggest corrective measures. - Maintain training MIS, reports, and dashboards for management. - Collaborate with Store Managers, HR, and Sales Heads to align training with business needs. - Mentor and guide in-house trainers or external training partners. - Build a culture of continuous learning within the retail teams. - Develop manuals, SOPs, sales scripts, and digital learning content. - Introduce innovative training methods such as gamification, simulations, and VR-based learning if applicable. Qualification & Experience: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration, HR, Retail Management, or related field. - 3-5 years of experience in Training & Development, preferably in retail sales. - Proven record of designing and delivering impactful sales training programs.
