We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Financial Crime Detection and Digital Enablement Principal responsibilities Lead a team of analysts in project to provide solutions using various analytic techniques for the Compliance activities through involvement in any or all of the following activities Data Quality Analysis, Segmentation, Threshold Setting and Tuning for Transaction Monitoring Trend Analysis and MI analysis as per requirement Data Implementation Checks and Quality Assurance Develop Statistical models and Insights Ensure that the repository and model documentation is up to date Complete analysis as required and document results and formally present findings to management Support reviews from internal/external stakeholders and provide requisite support as per guidelines Lead the efforts in remediation, closure of observation/findings on the model Adhere with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Requirements Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management or other quantitative fields of study is required Proficiency in SAS / R, Python, SQL, JavaScript and MS Office tools like Excel & PowerPoint Proven expertise in using statistical / ML algorithms for solving diverse business challenges and creating significant business value Knowledge and exposure to cloud analytics platform such as GCP, AWS Redshift, Azure etc. would be a plus but not mandatory Enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring and developing use cases for new data and/or tools/wider industry trends Strong business acumen with out-of-the box thinking to drive improved business performance Strong stakeholder management skills and seamless delivery of analytics initiatives across markets Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas At least 5 years of experience of using statistical concepts and/or machine learning models to solve complex business problems You ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
