Job Description

Role & responsibilities

This role requires a highly experienced and results-oriented professional to manage the full spectrum of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial support for the company. The Manager - Finance will lead teams across multiple functions and serve as a key financial partner to internal and external stakeholders.

1. Corporate Finance & Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies that support the company's long-term objectives and growth.
  • Conduct financial modeling, analysis, and due diligence for strategic initiatives, including investments, capital expenditure, and business expansion.
  • Manage working capital efficiently and optimize the capital structure.

2. General Accounting & Reporting (GA)

  • Oversee all general accounting functions, including the maintenance of the General Ledger, preparation of trial balances, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
  • Coordinate the annual external audit process and manage relationships with auditors.

3. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP)

  • AR Management:

    • Establish and monitor effective credit control policies and procedures to maximize collections and minimize bad debt.
    • Oversee the billing, invoice generation, and cash application processes.
    • Regularly review AR aging reports and drive timely follow-up.
  • AP Management:

    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments.
    • Manage vendor relations related to payment inquiries and discrepancies.
    • Optimize the procure-to-pay process for efficiency and control.

4. Payroll Management

  • Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of salaries, wages, and other employee compensations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all statutory regulations related to payroll (e.g., income tax deductions, social security contributions).
  • Coordinate with HR for employee data changes impacting payroll.

5. Statutory Compliances & Taxation

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns (e.g., Corporate Tax, VAT/GST, TDS).
  • Manage all financial and regulatory compliances, including compliance with company law, SEBI regulations (if applicable), and local statutes.
  • Liaise with internal and external legal/tax consultants and government authorities as required.

6. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Analysis

  • Prepare detailed weekly/monthly MIS reports covering key financial metrics, variance analysis, cash flow projections, and profitability analysis.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to aid in decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget and periodic financial forecasts.

7. Bank Relationships & Treasury

  • Manage day-to-day banking operations, including account reconciliations, fund transfers, and foreign exchange transactions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to negotiate terms for working capital limits, term loans, and other financial products.
  • Manage the company's cash flow effectively to meet operational needs.

8. Daily Revenue Report Consolidation

  • Oversee the daily process of collecting, consolidating, and analyzing revenue data from various business units or sources.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of daily revenue reporting and promptly communicate key revenue performance indicators to management.
  • Identify and investigate significant daily revenue variances.

9. Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary finance liaison for internal stakeholders (e.g., CEO, Department Heads, Operations Teams) and external parties (e.g., Auditors, Regulators, Bankers, Investors).
  • Present financial performance, budgets, and strategic plans effectively to all stakeholders.
