Role Overview: As the lead electrical engineer for Power projects (coal/simple cycle / combined cycle/cogeneration), hydrogen projects, your main responsibility is to work on the design engineering aspect of the projects. You will be involved in various electrical system engineering activities such as equipment sizing calculations, preparation of equipment specifications for procurement, and technical bid evaluation processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for physical engineering activities including layout of cable tray, earthing, lightning, lighting, cable schedules, and ICS. Your role will also entail reviewing and performing basic system studies such as LF, SC, relay co-ordination & settings, with knowledge of ETAP being an added advantage. Furthermore, you will be involved in vendor print review, FATs of major electrical equipment, facilitating coordination of design activities across different departments, conducting and participating in design reviews, collaborating closely with clients, planning engineering deliverables, and providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Key Responsibilities: - Work as lead electrical engineer for Power projects (coal/simple cycle / combined cycle/cogeneration), hydrogen projects. - Carry out electrical System engineering activities such as equipment sizing calculations, preparation of equipment specifications for procurement, and technical bid evaluation process. - Perform physical engineering activities like layout of cable tray, earthing, lightning, lighting, cable schedules, and ICS. - Review and conduct basic system studies such as LF, SC, relay co-ordination & settings (knowledge of ETAP will be an added advantage). - Review vendor prints, participate in FATs of major electrical equipment, etc. - Facilitate coordination of design activities across various departments. - Conduct and participate in design reviews, collaborate closely with clients. - Plan engineering deliverables. - Provide guidance and mentorship to team members. Qualification Required: - Experience in design of Electrical systems of Thermal power plants. - Well versed in relevant Indian & International standards. - Strong computer skills, proficient in MS office. - Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to travel and willingness for deputation will be an added advantage.
