As a Customer Remediation Governance Manager at American Express, you will play a vital role in ensuring that risk management is integrated into the daily operations of the Customer Remediation Strategy Team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the governance of critical platforms and processes related to Customer Remediation, defining and enforcing protocols for consistent execution. Your expertise as a compliance professional with a risk and control mindset will be crucial for successful cross-functional collaboration. **Role Overview:** - Contribute to a culture of ownership, process excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. - Manage the PRSA/RCSA(s) and controls applicable to the Customer Remediation Strategy Team. - Support internal and external exam management processes, including regulatory engagements. - Implement procedures and standards for the execution of Customer Remediation. - Collaborate with various teams to ensure a comprehensive view of AENB customer remediation from a controls perspective. - Stay informed about regulatory changes, best practices, and relevant updates. **Key Responsibilities:** - Business Management of the PRSA/RCSA(s) and controls - Support exam management process - Implement specific procedures and standards for Customer Remediation - Collaborate with other teams for end-to-end view of customer remediation - Monitor regulatory changes integration - Maintain external perspective on risk information **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree - Experience in risk management, compliance, or audit - Understanding of critical risk management lifecycle activities - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks - Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a collaborative environment - Demonstrated ability to engage, educate, and drive results **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with data analytics - Issue management and/or customer remediation experience - Familiarity with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel American Express offers competitive base salaries, bonus incentives, and comprehensive benefits to support your holistic well-being.
