Manager, Contracts & Advisory

As a Manager - Legal at PhonePe Limited, your role is crucial in contributing towards developing a best-in-class commercial contracts function that insulates the business from risks while servicing internal stakeholders. By implementing technology-enabled tools and experience-based initiatives, you will make the contracting process automated, efficient, and effective. Your key responsibilities include: - Standardizing contract templates based on risk categorization and type of contracts, and leading contractual negotiations and closures independently. - Developing a commercial understanding of the business and each product line for risk assessment, providing expert legal advice on optimizing the contracting process, and evaluating multiple inputs and impacts of decisions. - Systematizing the contracting process, establishing an auditable process for renewals, and deploying technology-based solutions to make the process efficient and effective. - Keeping abreast of legislative changes and maintaining knowledge of amendments in legislation to improve contract versions. Qualifications required for this role include: - LL.B. LLM is good to have but not mandatory. - Minimum 6-10 years of post-qualification experience. - Strong drafting and communication skills. - Exposure to a variety of contracts including IT/software development, licensing, real estate, vendor, supplier, employment, and service contracts.
