WPP SSC India was created by WPP to provide the back-office functions and transactional finance work for the WPP agencies in India. Our customers are the agencies of WPP. What youll be doing: In this role, we are looking for an accounting professional with prior accounting experience and should have handled a team size of approx. 20 people. In this role, you will be encouraged to work on strict deadlines and in a fairly high-pressure business environment. Collaborate with the team to ensure all month-end activities are completed accurately and on time, meeting the established critical metrics and SLA targets. Implement effective processes and controls to ensure the highest quality of work and compliance with accounting standards. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the month-end close process to minimize disruption and ensure the smooth execution of tasks. Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the teams performance. Work closely with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support, ensuring successful audits and maintaining a high level of compliance. Lead and manage teams to ensure timely deliverable Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of any obstacles Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into RTR processes and procedures Provide guidance and training to staff, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning Ensure compliance with ethical standards and professional guidelines, and maintain confidentiality of audit information What youll need: Minimum of 12 years of experience in handling audits Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and lead a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Chartered Accountant from India. Knowledge of IFRS will be additional benefit.
