Manager - Audit

You will be joining the American Express Internal Audit Group (IAG) in India as an Audit Manager in the Asia Pacific (APAC) team. The IAG is known for its innovative audit processes and initiatives like Audit NextGen and Data-Driven Continuous Auditing. As part of the APAC team, you will work on various audits and global/regional portfolios, utilizing a data-driven auditing approach. **Key Responsibilities**: - Participate in APAC audit projects, annual planning, and core audit tasks. - Collaborate with audit teams, develop control tests, and analyze results. - Utilize automated work papers, analytics, and tools effectively. - Monitor audit analytics, assess results, and validate findings. - Evaluate audit results, draft reports, and present findings to senior management. - Assist in achieving team objectives, develop junior colleagues, and manage multiple audit projects. - Coach, mentor, and maintain internal audit competency through professional development. **Minimum Qualifications**: - 7+ years of relevant audit experience in the financial services industry. - Degree in accounting or finance. - Knowledge of control theory, auditing practices, and the audit lifecycle. - Understanding of regulatory, accounting, and financial industry practices. - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Experience with technology control testing, data analytic tools, and information systems. - Professional Certification (CIA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent). - Background in information technology or data analytics. - Experience from big accounting firms or global internal audit functions.
