Job Description

About the Roles

You will help elevate audit quality and strengthen the firms technical capabilities across consultations, methodology, inspection strategy, training, and thought leadership.

Both positions offer opportunities to influence firm-wide technical policy, support large/complex engagements, and represent the firm in internal and external forums.

Key Responsibilities

1) Technical Consultations & Complex Transactions

  • Provide technical guidance on Ind AS, IFRS, complex transactions, restructurings, supplier finance, covenant breaches, ESOPs, business combinations, and financial instruments.
  • Review financial statements (Schedule III, CARO), audit reports (KAM/EM/OM), and management letters.
  • For Associate Director: Lead highest-complexity consultations and sign-off firm-wide technical positions with the Partner.

2) Methodology, Policy & Inspection Strategy/Readiness

  • Execute or design ISQM 1/2 methodology updates.
  • Run mock inspections aligned with NFRA/PCAOB.
  • Lead remediation, root-cause analysis, and audit quality initiatives.
  • For Associate Director: Own inspection strategy firm-wide and steer methodology/policy design.

3) Training, Knowledge & Enablement

  • Deliver case-based technical training for seniors/managers.
  • Develop phrasebooks, kickoff kits and judgement playbooks.
  • For Associate Director: Architect practice-wide curriculum and present at partner forums.

4) Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Draft or co-author briefs on emerging standards and regulatory updates.
  • Represent the firm in internal/external forums.
  • For Associate Director: Lead thought-leadership publications and regulatory interactions.

5) People Leadership & Operating Model

  • Mentor teams, manage knowledge systems, and improve consultation SLAs.
  • For Associate Director: Manage 6–10 staff, lead hiring panels, budgets, and firm-wide operating frameworks.

Qualifications

Manager

  • Chartered Accountant with 6–9 years PQE (Big 4/Top Firm preferred).
  • Strong Ind AS/Standards on Auditing knowledge; working IFRS understanding.
  • Experience writing technical memos and facilitating training.

Associate Director

  • Chartered Accountant with 9–12+ years PQE, preferably with DPP/inspection/standard-setting exposure.
  • Expert command of Ind AS/IFRS and deep regulatory knowledge (Companies Act, SEBI, CARO).
  • Proven ability to lead high-complexity consultations and influence partners/ACs.
