Manager (Accounting)

As a financial professional, your role involves timely financial closing and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing intercompany reconciliation activities, including reconciling Intercompany Balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies, supporting financial reporting, and monitoring cash balances. - Playing a key role in operational improvements, financial statements audits, and compliance requirements. - Assisting in scaling up the accounting operations by documenting processes and systems, and helping to implement, document, and test related controls and policies. - Preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements with a focus on accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. - Overseeing month-end close processes, establishing close calendars and deadlines, and reviewing journal entries. - Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing support for interim and annual financial audits with external auditors. - Collaborating with departments external to accounting to ensure the integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures. - Handling special projects assigned by management and participating in the integration of acquired companies. - Working closely with leaders in the Finance, Accounting, and Capital Markets departments to ensure financial compliance with US GAAP. - Assisting the controller with cash flow related tasks and preparing individual account and financial statement line-item variance analysis for monthly review by management. Qualifications: - CA/ and MBA from a reputed management institution with 12+ years of accounting experience preferred. - Past experience working in an MNC or top-tier management consulting organization. Must-have skills: - Proficiency in Accounting (GAAP & IFRS), Month-End Closing and Analysis, Financial Statements & Reporting, and Insurance Business. Good-to-have skills: - High technical proficiency in MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI preferred. - Preference given to candidates with Accounting ERP experience.,
