Job Description

As a Manager-1 at this company, your main responsibility will be to lead a team of IT professionals in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be accountable for establishing and monitoring objectives for the department and staff to align with overall strategies and objectives. Your role will involve leading major cross-department initiatives, partnering with the business to identify innovative solutions, and making strategic decisions. Additionally, you will be expected to develop business cases in alignment with company objectives and actively seek opportunities for innovation and creative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and monitor objectives for the department and staff - Lead development and delivery of major cross-department initiatives - Partner with the business to drive strategic decisions - Develop business cases aligned with company objectives - Identify opportunities for innovation and creative problem-solving - Make presentations to senior management, business owners, and stakeholders - Provide recommendations on technology selection and strategic technical direction - Lead implementation of processes and supporting tools - Identify process gaps, provide estimates for business solutions, define project scope, and manage scope during project lifecycle - Plan project scope and define scope for each phase to meet business needs - Ensure projects are adequately staffed, trained, and managed within budget guidelines - Perform strategic and financial planning, administration, and department management Qualifications Required: - BS Degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education - 5-8 years of experience in budget and resource management - Management experience with multiple diverse teams and conducting formal performance reviews - Managing financials for multiple projects and programs - Advanced knowledge of Project Management, Strategic Planning, and some finance experience - Understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies - Experience with methodology in software engineering is highly desirable As a Manager-1, you will need strong management skills to coach colleagues, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to provide overall business or technical project planning for product enhancements. Your role will involve working closely with various stakeholders, driving innovation, and ensuring successful project delivery within approved manpower and budget guidelines.,
