Job Description

As a Management Trainee in the Record to Report team at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in month-end closing activities. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling: - Perform various month-end closing activities including the preparation and posting of journals into the General Ledger - Generate management and operational reports such as monthly MIS, Transaction Listings, Flash reports, Expense/FTE reports, Monthly performance Dashboard, Revenue reports, and consolidated P&L reports - Provide critical support for analysis and decision-making by presenting consolidated snapshots post month-end close - Collaborate with the onshore team to address any highlighted issues and ensure control ownership - Conduct variance analysis, write commentaries on actuals versus forecast/budgets, and identify key drivers for business decision-making - Explain the causes of different cost heads of various functions and assist in communicating these to the Onshore partners - Identify and report variances between Actuals and Forecast/Budget - Deliver on forecast reporting requirements efficiently Qualifications we seek in you: - B.Com Graduate - Excellent Reconciliation, Accounting & Reporting experience Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent Communication skills - Written & Verbal - Proficient in Accounting & Analytical Skills - Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and hands-on experience on applications such as TM1, Oracle discoverer, Cognos - Ability to prioritize efficiently and be flexible - Positive demeanor with a focus on continuous process improvement and openness to change - High standard of integrity, self-confidence to state and support opinions Please note that this position is based in Lucknow, India, and is a full-time role in the Operations category.
