Maintenance Technician

A Metal Detector Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of metal detection systems. These systems may include walk-through metal detectors, handheld scanners, conveyor metal detectors, and advanced security scanning equipment used in airports, malls, industries, and public places.

Qualifications

1. Technical Knowledge

Technical knowledge Understanding of metal detector operation principles (electromagnetic fields, signal processing).

Familiarity with different types of detectors (door frame, handheld, ground search, conveyor, baggage scanners).

Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and sensors.

2. Installation Skills

Expertise in assembling and installing various metal detectors.

Ability to handle tools, mounting, alignment, and configuration.

3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Diagnosing and repairing electrical or mechanical faults.

Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution.

Ability to quickly address sensor malfunctions, sensitivity errors, or system failures.

4. Calibration & Testing

Proficient in calibrating sensitivity levels and adjusting operational parameters.

Conducting performance tests to ensure safety standards.

5. Reading Technical Manuals

Ability to understand schematics, manuals, blueprints, and service guides.

6. Safety Compliance

Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (especially in airports, malls, factories, etc.).

Proper handling of equipment without causing disruption.

7. Customer Service

Good communication with clients for understanding problems and providing solutions.

Ability to train users on operating and maintaining metal detectors.

8. Basic Computer Skills

Familiarity with metal detectors with digital control panels.

Ability to update software/firmware if required.

9. Documentation

Preparing service reports, maintenance logs, and installation records.

10. Physical Fitness

Capability to lift equipment, stand for long periods, and work in varying environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
