Position: Manager - Engineering
Industry Experience: Food/Beverage Industry Experience only

Role Summary
Responsible for engineering function. To plan and execute all maintenance activities on the site and
ensure zero down time of machines and utility equipments (Power, DG, WTP, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Air-Compressors, ETP/STP, etc.). To ensure that the maintenance cost of machinery is within the limits of companys specified internal benchmark. He/She will be part of production set up reporting to the GM-Operations for all delegated duties related to engineering for smooth and seamless operations. He would be responsible for upkeep of machines, undertaking the operational function and ensuring smooth operations.Safety Trainings and Safety Consciousness
1) Safety is of prime importance and first and foremost aspect to be well taken care off and as
a head of engineering, he/she has to ensure that each and every member of his/her team should be given required safety trainings to help achieving safety targets. 2) Along with this he/she also has to assure that mandated safety norms and standards are fully followed by team in routine working. 3) To understand work permit system and follow all necessary safety compliances along with ensuring Lock Out Tag Out system. Management Committee GM-Operations Maintenance Manager Fitter/sEletrician/s 4) Ensure usage of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) such as P3-nose mask, safety shoes, googles, etc. by every member of team, to avoid accidents and hazardous conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1) Responsible for taking plant and utilities area rounds at the outset of the day and study the reports generated by Shift Officers and Utility Operators. 2) To ensure Zero down time of equipments for production lines. 3) To ensure 100% effective functioning of utility equipment - Air Compressor, Air-Driers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, WTP, Power, DG Set, RO Plant, ETP/STP, Boiler and Pumps etc. for production lines. 4) Ensure that Preventive maintenance is performed regularly in plants while the equipment is still working, so that it does not break down unexpectedly. 5) To carryout scheduled planned maintenance at agreed intervals. 6) Work in coordination with cross functional team (production and maintenance) for smooth running of plant. 7) To develop plans for carrying out predictive maintenance tasks, to maximise R&M cost reduction. 8) To share weekly report of maintenance activity for inter-departmental meeting as well as to Management. 9) Focus on chronic / major failures & initiate preventive maintenance. 10) To maintain the critical spares for all systems and ensure restoration of Production at the earliest in case of breakdown of any equipment. 11) Generate break down report & perform RCA to avoid recurrence of break down, share the learning/s and submit the report to the Management 12) To maintain the maintenance cost within the defined budget. 13) To liaison with outside agencies/contractors for getting committed scope and quality.Safety Consciousness
1) Support safety standards on shop floor.
2) To ensure that the team is following the mandated safety standards while performing their task. 3) To ensure that the team is attending all Internal/External training programmes on subject matter & Safety.

1) Explore improved technologies and implement to get operational cost benefit, on continuous basis. 2) To ensure that the team is following the standard practices & procedure like 5S while performing their task.
Recording of Machine History & Spare Consumption
1) Responsible for recording of machine history (MRBS & MTTR) and spare consumption. This is
to help Management to take decisions on replacement of equipment. Energy Saving 1) Monitor and maintain power factor close to Unity at the site. 2) Take energy saving initiative to improve unit/ton consumed.
