Design and development of Cabin & bus body Interiors/Exteriors and Cab Mechatronics for Commercial Vehicles, On time support on Design Issues Resolution, Proactive design approach

Key Skills required

• Knowledge on Plastic Trim part Design/Manufacturing(Soft/Hard Trims)


• Knowledge on Sheet metal Brackets Design/manufacturing


• DFM/ DFA on Plastic &Sheet metal


• CAD Software: NX , PLM


• DFMEA


• Problem Solving Techniques/Methodology


• Basic knowledge on Regulatory requirements related to Cabin


• Tolerance Stack up & Basic GDnT


• Material Knowledge (Plastic & sheet metal) & mould flow analysis


• Basic understanding of CAE to interpret the results

Experience Required

• Development of design Concepts for interior/exterior plastic /Sheet metal parts


• Packaging of Aggregates/Cab Mechatronics in cabin & bus body to meet the requirements


• Ergonomic Evaluation of Cabin layout


• Manufacturing /Tooling Feasibility check


• Supporting Proto/Testing team in Fitment and Validation Activities


• 3D & 2D drawing creation for both plastic and sheet metal parts, documentation


• Vehicle BOM Creation and Release process


• Preparation of DVP, DFS, DFA & DFM


• Preparation of Specification Book & DFMEA


• Supplier Interaction, Coordination & Handle Customers for development of Cabin & bus body Interiors to meet the expectations from them


• Execution & Implementation of Cost Reduction Ideas (Value Analysis & Value Engineering - VAVE)


• Collaborate with Cross Function team on the Development activities


• Resolution of Design Issues raised during Testing, Production build & Customer vehicles through Problem Solving Techniques


• Adherence to the Project timelines & Risk Assessment in Product Development Lifecycle
