Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Analyze business and technical requirements to design scalable and efficient mainframe solutions.
Perform coding, testing, and debugging of programs.
Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and performance standards.
Work closely with business analysts and end-users to gather and clarify requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
Participate in migration or modernization projects involving mainframe systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile or Waterfall environments.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in mainframe development.
Proficiency in:
Experience with version control tools such as Endevor or Changeman.
Familiarity with scheduling tools like Control-M, CA-7, or TWS.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
