Position Summary:

We are looking for Machine Operators to run, monitor, and maintain process equipment in our Activated Carbon Plant. The role involves operating machinery such as crushers, elevators, conveyors, rotary kilns, screeners, and packing units, ensuring smooth production flow, quality compliance, and safe workplace practices. Operators will work closely with production engineers and maintenance teams to maintain continuous 24x7 operations.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

• Operate granulation machinery including saw tooth crushers, hammer mills, elevators, and conveyors.
• Monitor rotary kiln operation parameters (temperature, feed rate, steam injection, draft).
• Handle post-activation machines such as destoners, screeners, and crushers.
• Operate packing line equipment – weighing, stitching, sealing, and bag handling.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Record hourly readings of temperature, pressure, speed, and output.
• Identify equipment abnormalities and promptly report to maintenance or supervisors.
• Support quality checks by providing in-process samples to the laboratory.

Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Carry out routine cleaning and minor adjustments of machines.
• Support preventive maintenance and assist fitters/welders during breakdowns.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness, 5S compliance, and safe material handling.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all plant safety rules, PPE usage, and lockout-tagout procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and support EHS initiatives.
• Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 operational standards.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Trade
• 12th pass with machine operation experience may also apply

Experience:

• 2–6 years in machine operation, preferably in:
• Activated Carbon / Chemicals / Minerals / Cement / Process Industry

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of machine handling, start-up, and shutdown procedures
• Familiarity with rotary equipment, conveyors, and packing systems
• Ability to maintain production logs and communicate effectively with engineers

Language:

• Tamil (mandatory), basic English preferred

Employment Type:
Full-time | On-site (Ponnapuram Plant)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: ₹14,000 – ₹20,000 per month (based on experience)

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Ponnapuram, Dharapuram Taluk: Should be willing to relocate or commute reliably. Factory accommodation will be supported if required.
