Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to manage our 3D printing operations and assist in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of 3D printers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 3D printing, the ability to assemble and troubleshoot 3D printers, and proficiency in various supplementary fabrication techniques, including welding, drilling, and the use of power tools. You will play a crucial role in assembling large-scale custom models (up to 20 feet in size) and structures made from metal, wood, and plastic. Key Responsibilities: 3D Printing Operations: Operate and manage 3D printers for various projects, ensuring high-quality outputs. Assemble and calibrate 3D printers as needed. Troubleshoot and fix any issues with 3D printers to minimize downtime. Product Assembly: Assemble 3D printed products, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications. Perform post-processing tasks such as sanding, painting, and finishing to prepare products for delivery. Fabrication and Supplementary Operations: Perform welding, drilling, cutting, and other fabrication tasks on metal, wood, and plastic materials. Use power tools and machinery to build and assemble custom structures and models. Construct large-scale models (up to 20 feet in size) for customer projects, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality. Maintenance and Repair: Regularly maintain and service 3D printers and other fabrication equipment. Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain smooth operation. Project Collaboration: Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure that all technical aspects of projects are executed to the highest standards. Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for complex fabrication challenges. Qualifications: Proven experience in 3D printing, including operating, assembling, and maintaining 3D printers. Proficiency in using fabrication tools and machinery such as welders, drills, saws, and other power tools. Strong technical skills in metal, wood, and plastic fabrication. Experience with large-scale model construction and assembly. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work on diverse projects with varying technical requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CNC machines or other automated fabrication equipment. Knowledge of CAD software for design and troubleshooting purposes. Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
