Storage & SAN Management: Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Hitachi SAN storage systems. Implement storage zoning, LUN provisioning , volume management, and multipathing. Monitor storage performance, manage capacity planning, and optimize utilization. Ensure integration and compatibility with other storage platforms, including NetApp . Administer Veritas backup solutions, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security. Configure and manage Brocade SAN switches , including ISL setup and zoning . Maintain strong expertise in SAN protocols such as Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI, SMB , and multipath configurations . Infrastructure Support: Conduct routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades on SAN and NAS systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage issues related to performance, connectivity, and data access. Collaborate with IT teams (server, virtualization, database) to ensure storage alignment with business requirements. Develop and support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity strategies. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all storage architectures, configurations, and operational procedures. Role & responsibilities Title of the Job: Storage Engineer L2 Profile of the position: Hands-on experience with Various storage box like EMC VNX 5400, 5600, CX-120 storage Box NetApp, HP, Hitachi and involves performance/availability assessment with daily support tasks. Must have Experience with SAN Switch/ Storage Enclosure administration and storage spaces, Alert management including Backup/recovery/restore of information on storage devices including DASD, EMC Avamar Duties and Responsibilities • Perform changes to Logical Disk, LUN Configuration • Perform ALLOCATION / DEALLOCATION with Zoning/ Copy Services • Configure NAS/ SAN Storage • Perform configuration of SAN/disk devices, storage pools. • Manage and support of SAN Switch • Plan changes / install to Storage, Logical Disk, Raid, LUN Configuration • Maintain storage management tools, maintain microcode/firmware, monitor Storage devices • Perform Storage Daily Health Check • Perform General SAN/NAS Disk administration activity and Avamar Restore • Provide Configuration info for Basic DISK, RAID, Logical LUN Copy • Perform maintenance on disk environment • Perform problem analysis and recovery in the storage hardware and software environment. • Provide support to data storage on all MVS system images • Set up SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software • Support SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Hands on experience including but not limited to: 1. Desired Qualification • Basic Education must have a bachelors degree or Under Graduate in any stream • Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal) • Knowledge on Storage Monitoring & Management is preferred. • Understanding of ticketing tool is also preferred. • Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shifts. • Previous NOC/GSD/RDMS/SOC experience will be a value add.
