Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of reviews conducted on high-risk entities and individuals.
Conduct comprehensive enhanced due diligence (EDD) to identify potential red flags and financial crime risks.
Prepare detailed reports for submission to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Perform periodic risk-based reviews of previously onboarded clients to reassess risk factors and detect suspicious activities.
Maintain an updated knowledge of money laundering, terrorist financing, and emerging financial crime trends.
Identify and escalate systemic control weaknesses within the EDD framework for necessary remediation.
Execute assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner as directed by supervisors.
Propose strategies for risk mitigation, strengthening compliance measures and operational effectiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum of 2 years experience in a financial institution in a compliance function
Demonstrated good knowledge of local and global due diligence requirements and AML regulation along with understanding of sanctions regimes.
Familiarity with Financial institution’s processes (e.g. banking operations, payment systems, onboarding procedures, AML investigations processes, etc.).
Evidence of strong critical thinking, analytical skills and communication skills.
