Job Description

  • Role Purpose: To support the development of production plan by making the appropriate plans for supply, demand and internal sales for domestic captive units Key Accountabilities: Responsible for daily operative goals within their units such as sales, demand planning for each product category. Initiate the formulation of protocols and guidelines for transportation requirements of products to internal and external customers. Coordinates with all relevant stake holders to ensure supply of glass, copper fiber within the captive units are met. Coordinates with plants and sales team to ensure closures for supply and demand of products happen in a timely manner. Creates monthly and quarterly plan for the plant .Highlights any changes, modifications required to the sales, production plan as per inputs from the sales, production team. Maintains MIS reporting for their product category for sales, production and dispatch etc.. Preferred Experience and Qualification: Experience with working with one or more departments including Production, Sales and Supply Chain.Experience with handling analytics tools for forecasting and MIS system.B.Tech/B.E/B.Com/B.A.5-8 years experience.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way. Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the manufacturing hub to the end consumer. Also, will have the people and budgetary management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements 4. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs 5. Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency 6. Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues 8. Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock
  • Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
  • Interpret trends and analyse and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organisation to aid customer service and cost improvements
  • Ensure availability of metrics, reports, and process documentation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process
  • Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time
  • Take control of packaging and provide appropriate, cost-effective, high-quality solutions
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements
  • Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes
