Logistics Executive (Male)

Role & responsibilities

1) Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations, including dispatch planning, vehicle scheduling, and delivery timelines.

2) Ensure timely placement of trucks in coordination with vendors and transporters to meet delivery schedules.

3) Prepare and generate accurate E-way bills and e-invoices in compliance with applicable GST regulations.

4) Maintain proper documentation for inbound and outbound consignments as per statutory requirements.

5) Monitor real-time status of dispatches and shipments using tracking tools.

6) Follow up with transport agencies and drivers to ensure timely deliveries and address any delays or route deviations.

7) Liaise with transport vendors to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation services.

8) Negotiate freight charges and terms to optimize logistics costs.

9) Assist in maintaining accurate stock movement records.

10) Ensure all dispatch documentation (LR copies, invoices, delivery challans, etc.) is properly filed and recorded.

11) Maintain daily and weekly reports on dispatches, pending deliveries, and logistics costs.

12) Provide timely MIS updates to the management and relevant departments.

13) Ensure adherence to all logistics-related statutory compliance, including transportation regulations and company policies.

14) Monitor vehicle fitness, driver compliance, and safety protocols.

15) Address customer queries related to dispatch and delivery.

16) Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to update delivery status and resolve issues.

17) Identify bottlenecks in the logistics chain and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.

Implement best practices in logistics management and warehouse operations.

Preferred candidate profile

1) Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/BBA); specialization in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations is preferred.

2) Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics operations, transportation coordination, and dispatch planning.

3) Industry Preference: Candidates with experience in manufacturing, FMCG, e-commerce, or supply chain companies will be given preference.

4) Certifications: A certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or ERP/Transportation Management Systems will be an added advantage.

5) Knowledge Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of E-way bills, e-invoicing, and transport documentation.
• Understanding of logistics tracking systems and dispatch processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and transport safety norms.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, ERP, or Logistics Software
