Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistic Manager to oversee and optimize the export and import operations of our company. As the Logistic Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with regulations, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our export and import processes.

• Key Responsibilities Job Description

1. Inbound & Outbound Transportation

• Plan and schedule movement of raw materials and finished tubes/pipes via road, rail, or sea
• Coordinate with carriers, negotiate rates, and arrange vehicles to align with production and delivery timelines 

2. Shipment Tracking & Delivery Management

• Track shipments, monitor loading/unloading processes, and ensure on-time delivery
• Provide MIS updates and resolve delays or discrepancies promptly 

3. Vendor & Carrier Management

• Source and evaluate logistics vendors, negotiate SLA-based rates, and monitor performance
• Build strong relationships to optimize costs and efficiency 

4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

• Coordinate with warehouse teams to track stock of steel pipes/tubes
• Maintain accurate records of inbound/outbound and support warehouse layout optimization 

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain shipping docs: PODs, invoices, bills, export/import clearance paperwork
• Ensure compliance with customs, trade and industry standards 

6. Logistics Performance & Cost Control

• Monitor and analyse KPIs: delivery timelines, logistics cost per unit, vehicle turnaround time
• Propose improvements to reduce costs and inefficiencies 

7. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with production, procurement, sales, quality, and finance teams to ensure seamless logistics
• Escalate and resolve operational issues quickly 

8. Safety & Quality Assurance

• Ensure logistics processes comply with safety protocols and proper handling of steel materials
• Monitor vehicle loading standards and work closely with QA to prevent damage 

9. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

• Analyse logistics data (shipments, delays, cost variances), share insights with management, help optimize processes
• Support audits and vendor evaluations based on logistics performance
