Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the movement of products from warehouse to customer locations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor and track all shipments, maintaining regular communication with transporters and customers to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport agencies, and vendors to schedule and confirm pick-up and delivery timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries, and shipments using inventory management systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards in logistics operations.
• Handle documentation related to shipments, including delivery challans, invoices, dispatch reports, and stock transfer records.
• Coordinate with the sales and production teams to ensure inventory availability aligns with customer orders.
• Resolve any issues related to delivery delays, damaged goods, or logistical discrepancies in a prompt manner.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery efficiency.
• Prepare periodic reports on logistics performance and suggest improvements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the manufacturing or building materials industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation modes, and delivery scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic knowledge of logistics management software.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Knowledge of local transport regulations and warehousing practices in Chennai.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
