Logistics Buyer

The role involves Supplier Management, where you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on criteria like reliability, quality, and cost. You will also handle Negotiation by negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers to achieve competitive rates and optimal terms. Cost Optimization is a key aspect of the role, where you will implement strategies to reduce overall supply chain costs, including optimizing shipping and inventory expenses. Inventory Management will also be a crucial part of your responsibilities, as you will monitor inventory levels to maintain a balance between product availability and costs, preventing both overstocking and stock-outs. Market Analysis is another important aspect of the role, where you will continuously monitor market trends and developments to identify new opportunities and potential risks. Risk Management is a critical part of the role, where you will anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks by identifying alternative suppliers and preventing delivery delays. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other departments, such as operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure supply chain alignment and efficiency. Problem Solving skills will also be required to address day-to-day issues, including backorders, expediting deliveries, and resolving price or quality disputes with suppliers.
