Job Description

Overview:
The Localization Project Manager 1 is responsible for assisting with translation and localization requests by incorporating and adhering to industry standards and processes. This position is responsible for meeting deadlines and translation quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing and maintaining the flow of incoming localization requests from internal departments
  • Respond to localization questions, concerns, or issues from internal or external stakeholders; ensure required stakeholder(s) are aware of project timelines and project deadlines are met
  • Assist with creating and managing memories and glossaries for completed projects; assist with machine translation management and documenting process(es) involved
  • Evaluate, analyze, and prepare source documents from internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders and provide assistance with new opportunities
  • Assist with ensuring quality requirements are met for all content types that require localization
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the localization and or translation industry
  • Experience in translation and localization of software and technical documentation
  • Applications/technology knowledge or related experience
  • Relevant industry translation or localization certifications
  • Excellent understanding of the English language
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
  • Facilitation and project management skill
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
  • Oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Ability to complete manual test projects using available test frameworks and tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to summarize large quantities of information into actionable insight
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Up to 5% travel time required
