Loan Processing Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Processing Officer with strong customer interaction skills and a solid background in financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end loan processing, from customer onboarding to disbursal, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers to gather loan application documents, explain loan products, eligibility, and terms.
• Review and verify financial documents such as income statements, bank statements, and credit reports.
• Perform initial loan eligibility checks and coordinate with underwriters and risk teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the loan processing system.
• Follow up with customers on documentation requirements and resolve queries.
• Collaborate with sales, credit, and legal teams to facilitate smooth loan disbursal.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through timely updates and professional service.
• Monitor loan application status and provide periodic reports to the management team.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, internal audit norms, and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications:

• MBA in Finance (mandatory) from a recognized institution.
• 3 years of experience in loan processing, credit operations, or a similar role in a bank, NBFC, or fintech.
• Strong understanding of retail loan products (home loan, personal loan, vehicle loan, etc.).
• Familiarity with KYC norms, credit policies, and loan documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer engagement.
• Proficient in MS Office and loan management systems (LMS or CRM tools).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a customer-facing role within financial services.
• Knowledge of risk assessment or underwriting process is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple loan files and manage deadlines efficiently.
