Live Underwriter

You are looking for a Live Underwriter position with a permanent work from home option. The role involves conducting underwriting for residential mortgages in the U.S. during night shifts. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in underwriting is required, with at least 2 years specifically in live underwriting. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing and underwriting U.S. residential mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with FNMA, FHLMC guidelines. You should be familiar with GNMA and other investor guidelines. Conducting a comprehensive analysis of borrowers" credit, income, assets, and collateral (4Cs) to determine creditworthiness is essential. This includes performing income analysis from various sources and reviewing credit reports. As a Live Underwriter, you will validate collateral and property valuations, verify asset documentation, and make independent underwriting decisions in line with investor and company policies. Compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements is crucial. Clear communication of findings and decisions to stakeholders is expected while delivering quality outcomes within specified turnaround time and accuracy metrics.
