Job Title: Cloud & Container Platform Engineer (L2)

Experience:

L2 Cloud & Container Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• L2 support for

  Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift

  platforms.
• Deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of

  containerized applications

  .
• Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  
• Support

  on-prem Docker environments

  and container lifecycle management.
• Monitor platform performance using

  Prometheus, Grafana, ELK

  .
• Support virtualization platforms (

  VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V

  ).
• Assist CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
  
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, container, and basic networking issues.
  
• Evaluate and test new tools and technologies for private cloud platforms.
  
• Work closely with L3 teams for escalations and improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in

  Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Linux

  .
• Graduation in

  Computer Science / IT or related field

  .
• Strong Linux administration skills (

  RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu

  ).

• RHCE certification (mandatory)

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  Kubernetes installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

  .
• Knowledge of

  Docker and container lifecycle management

  .
• Experience with

  virtualization technologies

  (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
• Understanding of

  private cloud platforms

  (OpenShift, OpenStack, CloudStack, VMware, Nutanix).
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD and DevOps practices

  .
• Basic scripting skills (

  Bash / Python

  ) – preferred.
• Good understanding of

  networking fundamentals

  (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls).
