Linux Server Administrator

The purpose of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications that need to be deployed at a client end to ensure they meet 100% quality assurance parameters. You will be responsible for understanding the requirements and design of the product/software, developing software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas throughout the software development life cycle, facilitating root cause analysis of system issues, and identifying ideas to improve system performance and impact availability. Additionally, you will collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts to convert client requirements into feasible designs and confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities. Your duties will also include performing coding and ensuring optimal software/module development by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed software feasibility. You will develop and automate processes for software validation, modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces, and prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status. It is crucial to ensure all codes are raised as per the norms defined for the project/program/account with clear descriptions and replication patterns while compiling timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested. Furthermore, you will be responsible for status reporting and maintaining customer focus on an ongoing basis with respect to project execution. This includes capturing all requirements and clarifications from clients for better quality work, taking regular feedback to ensure smooth and on-time delivery, participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces, and developing specifications and performance requirements. You will also document and demonstrate solutions through various means such as documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code to ensure a proper understanding of software from client proposal to implementation. In terms of deliverables, the performance parameters will be measured based on continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of software to achieve 100% error-free onboarding and implementation, adherence to the schedule/release plan, quality and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) metrics, including on-time delivery, software management, troubleshooting queries, customer experience, and completion of assigned certifications for skill upgradation.
