Job Description

Job Summary:

Junior Linux Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers.
Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting basic issues.
Support patch management and system updates.
Help automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash) or Python.
Maintain system documentation and inventory.
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement infrastructure improvements.
Participate in learning and development initiatives to enhance technical skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
Familiarity with command-line tools and basic shell scripting.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, SSH).
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Basic understanding of virtualization or containerization (Docker).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to take initiative and seek guidance when needed.
