Role Overview: You will be responsible for planning, designing, and maintaining the intercontinental network across six global locations. Your main focus will be on optimizing the data center packet-switching infrastructure for reliability, low latency, and high throughput. Additionally, you will ensure network security using OpenBSD firewalls and manage customer connections via leased lines and VPNs. You will also play a key role in developing and enhancing automated network configuration tools using 100% open-source software like Ansible and Python. Furthermore, you will participate in a rotating on-call system and assist in maintaining the fleet of Linux servers. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, and maintain the intercontinental network across six global locations. - Optimize the data center packet-switching infrastructure for reliability, low latency, and high throughput. - Ensure network security using OpenBSD firewalls and manage customer connections via leased lines and VPNs. - Develop and enhance automated network configuration tools using open-source software like Ansible and Python. - Participate in a rotating on-call system and assist in maintaining the fleet of Linux servers. Qualifications Required: - Programming experience in at least one scripting language, ideally Bash, Perl, or Python. - Strong knowledge of Linux and networking, with proficiency in command-line operations. - Experience with Icinga, Puppet, Hiera, Linux KVM, Git, Facter, Ansible, or MySQL is desirable. - Proficiency in monitoring tools, switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. - Several years of experience in similar environments.
