Key Responsibilities

• Linux System Administration

  : Manage and optimize RHEL and SUSE Linux systems, ensuring the environment runs efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime.

• Web Server Management

  : Administer and configure Apache Web Servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for web applications.

• Application Server Support

  : Install, configure, and maintain Wildfly Application Servers for optimal performance and scalability.

• Database Management

  : Administer and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.

• Cloud Infrastructure

  : Configure and manage Linux-based workloads in

  AWS

  and

  Azure

  , including setting up virtual machines, networking, storage, and monitoring cloud environments.

• Automation & Scripting

  : Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) to automate routine tasks, deployment processes, and monitoring.

• Performance Monitoring

  : Regularly monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to improve system efficiency.

• Security and Compliance

  : Implement security best practices, including patch management, firewall configurations, access control, and user authentication.

• Collaboration & Documentation

  : Work closely with other IT teams to ensure that all systems are aligned with business needs, and document procedures, configurations, and changes.

• Continuous Learning & Improvement

  : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance technical skills and optimize system environments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Required

  :

• Expertise in RHEL

  : Strong experience in RHEL system administration and configuration.

• Web Server Management

  : Hands-on experience with Apache Web Server, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Application Server Management

  : Proficiency with

  Wildfly

  and Java-based application server deployment.

• Database Management

  : Solid experience in administering MySQL databases, including tuning, replication, backup, and recovery.

• Cloud Platforms

  : Practical experience with

  AWS

  and/or

  Azure

  cloud services, with a focus on deploying and managing Linux-based applications.

• Scripting

  : Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages for task automation and system management.

• Security Best Practices

  : Understanding of system security fundamentals (e.g., SSH, firewall, SELinux, and system hardening).

• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting

  : Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in Linux systems, web servers, application servers, and databases.

• SUSE Linux

  : Experience with SUSE Linux distributions is a plus.

• Automation

  : Experience with automation tools

• Certifications

  : Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Administrator Associate certification is a plus.
