Job Summary:

Seeking a Linux Admin with strong experience in

Tomcat

,

JavaEE apps

, and

SQL Server

. Must support SOAP-based services (Apache Axis 1.4), JSP frontends, and applications using

Spring 3.x

,

Struts 1.x

, and

Hibernate

.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RHEL VMs, Linux mounts, and application-related static files
  • Configure and maintain Apache Tomcat (non-clustered, behind NetScaler load balancer with sticky sessions)
  • Support deployment and runtime of SOAP-based JavaEE applications using JSP, jQuery, Axis 1.4
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application issues (logs, configs, ports, sessions, etc.)
  • Support apps using Spring 3.x, Hibernate, and Struts 1.x (for specific modules)
  • Interact with MS SQL Server (basic SQL queries, schema validation)
  • Coordinate with teams using SAP HANA / SAP PI services
  • Maintain ActiveMQ (single topic usage)
  • Use Ansible for server and middleware configuration updates
  • Collaborate with teams using Bitbucket and Maven for code/deployment

Skills:

  • 5–7 years of Linux (RHEL) administration experience
  • Solid hands-on experience with Tomcat (incl. load balancer config, SSL, session management)
  • Exposure to JavaEE app architecture; familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, Struts is a plus
  • Understanding of SOAP-based services (Axis 1.4), JSP, and client-side tech (jQuery)
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and basic SQL
  • Working knowledge of tools like Maven, Bitbucket, ActiveMQ, and Ansible
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
