Linehaul Manager

The Line Haul Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the line haul segment, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods between hubs. The ideal candidate should have strong planning and execution skills, a solid understanding of logistics and transportation networks, and the ability to manage a team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and monitor all line haul operations across assigned routes.
• Optimize vehicle utilization, driver performance, and route planning to achieve cost and time efficiency.
• Coordinate with hubs, first mile, and last mile teams for seamless operations.
• Monitor and ensure timely departure and arrival of line haul vehicles.
• Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for route efficiency, cost per km, on-time delivery, etc.
• Maintain documentation related to transit, compliance, and vehicle performance.
• Liaise with transport vendors, fleet partners, and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, transport, and company policies.
• Manage incidents, breakdowns, and rerouting in real time.
• Prepare regular reports on vehicle movement, transit times, fuel consumption, and other logistics metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in line haul or fleet management in a logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and route planning tools.
• Experience in managing own fleet and/or third-party vendors.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle time-sensitive operations.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night operations.
