About the Role:
Bhagwan Mahaveer Law College & Research Centre (BMLC) is seeking a dedicated, organized, and resourceful Librarian to join our institution on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the library’s day-to-day operations, supporting students and faculty in accessing academic resources, and maintaining an efficient and welcoming learning environment. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of experience who have a passion for books, learning, and academic administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily library operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Organize and maintain books, journals, and other learning materials.
• Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources.
• Handle book issue, return, and record maintenance efficiently.
• Maintain library records and catalogues in both physical and digital formats.
• Keep the library environment clean, quiet, and conducive to study.
• Support in maintaining inventory and ordering new materials as needed.
• Guide users in accessing online and electronic learning resources.
• Promote reading habits and research support activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Experience:

• 0 to 1 year of experience in a library or similar academic support role.
• Freshers with a keen interest in library management are encouraged to apply.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling records.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a commitment to student and faculty support.
