Description
The IBM Storage Defender Support (IBM Storage Defender) team is supporting compex integrated storage products end to end, incuding Storage Defender, Spectrum Protect, Spectrum Protect Pus, Copy Data Management. This position invoves working with our IBM customers remotey, which are some of the word's top research, automotive, banks, heath care and technoogy providers. The candidates must be abe to assist with operating systems (AIX,Linux, Unix, Windows), SAN, network protocos, couds and storage devices. They wi work in a virtua environment working with coeagues around the gobe and wi be exposed to many different types of technoogies. Responsibiitiesmust incude but not imited to Provide remote troubeshooting and anaysis assistance for usage and configuration questions Review diagnostic information to assist in isoation of a probem cause (which coud incude assistance interpreting traces and dumps) Identify known defects and fixes to resove probems Deveops best practice artices and support utiities to improve support quaity and productivity Respond to escaated customer cas, compaints, and queries The job wi require fexibe schedue to ensure 24x7 support operations and weekend on-ca coverage, incuding extending/taking shift to cover North America working hours. Required education Bacheor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technica and professiona expertise Exceent communication skis - both verba and written Provide remote troubeshooting and anaysis assistance for usage and configuration questions Preferred Professiona and Technica Expertise: At east 8 years of in-depth experience with Spectrum Protect (Storage Protect) or its competition products in data protection domain Experience troubeshooting network, OS, or SaaS based appication/software issues. Experience with Cohesity DataProtect, Storage Protect, and/or data protection products wi be added advantage. Working knowedge of Python, Go, and Java programing anguages. Working knowedge on RedHat, Openshift or Ansibe administration wi be preferred. Good in networking and troubeshooting. Coud Certification wi be added advantage. Knowedge about Object Storage and Coud Storage wi be preferred. Preferred technica and professiona experience Foowing minimum experience are required for the roe - Must have worked in at east 8-10 years on data protection or storage software’s as administrator or soution architect or cient server technoogies. Debugging and anaysis are performed via the teephone as we as eectronicay. So candidates must possess strong customer interaction skis and be abe to ceary articuate soutions and options. Must be famiiar with and abe to interpret compex software probems that span across mutipe cient and server patforms incuding UNIX, Linux, AIX, and Windows. Focus on storage area networks (SAN), network protocos, Coud, and storage devices is preferred. Hands on experience with storage virtuaization is a pus.
