Legal Manager(Tehsil & Revenue Documentation)

Immediate opening for a Legal Head in our Legal Department in Real Estate Company to manage all Tehsil-related documentation for real estate projects in Punjab. The candidate will liaise with Tehsildar offices for land records, mutations, and NOCs to ensure RERA compliance and smooth project execution

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage legal documentation for tehsil and revenue departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  
• Review and draft agreements, deeds, lease deeds, and other legal documents related to land acquisition, property disputes, and real estate laws.
  
• Conduct document reviews to identify potential issues or discrepancies in land surveying reports.
  
• Provide expert advice on PLRA (Prevention of Land Rapid Appreciation Act), Property Laws, Real Estate Laws, and Land Disputes.
  

• Visit Tehsil offices to obtain/verify revenue records like khasra /khatauni, Jamabandi, fard, mutations, and non-encumbrance certificates for project land parcels.

• Coordinate with Patwaris, Kanungo's, and Tehsildars for land title clearance, record corrections, and NOCs required for RERA registration and bank loans

• Prepare and file legal documents for land acquisition, joint ventures, or disputes related to revenue entries, ensuring 100% compliance with Punjab land revenue laws.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex legal matters related to property ownership and disputes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate in Law (LLB) or Commerce with 2-5 years experience in real estate legal documentation; knowledge of Punjab Revenue Code preferred.

• Familiarity with Tehsil processes, RERA Punjab requirements, and tools like Jamabandi portal or PLRS software.

• Strong communication for govt. liaison, attention to detail, and ability to travel to Tehsil offices in Ludhiana district

• Can read, speak and write Punjabi.

• Familiar with Jalandhar Revenue department in Tehsil
