Legal Intern (In-House Counsel)

Role Overview: As a Legal Intern at our company, you will collaborate closely with our in-house legal team to handle a variety of corporate, compliance, and tech law functions that are essential for driving and safeguarding HyperVerge's global operations. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact right from the beginning of your internship. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive legal research on topics such as AI governance, data protection (GDPR, CCPA), intellectual property, and tech compliance. - Stay updated on global regulatory changes that impact industries like SaaS, fintech, and AI. - Translate complex legal concepts into practical insights for internal stakeholders. - Assist in reviewing, redlining, and managing various contracts including NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, and partnership contracts. - Maintain an organized repository of contractual documents to ensure version control and timely renewals. - Collaborate with business teams to facilitate smooth and compliant deal-making processes. - Participate in internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and data privacy initiatives. - Prepare necessary filings and documentation related to licensing, corporate governance, and international business regulations. - Help align internal processes with evolving laws such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and GDPR. - Support strategic legal initiatives that impact product development, partnerships, and overall business operations. - Handle internal documentation, reporting, and knowledge base maintenance. - Take charge of ad hoc legal and business operations assignments. Qualification Required: - Currently in the fourth or final year of BA.LLB/BBA.LLB/LLM program from a reputed law school. - Possess excellent legal research and writing skills. - Demonstrate a strong interest in technology law, corporate governance, and emerging compliance frameworks. - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable with collaborative platforms like Google Suite and Notion. - Attention to detail and a proactive ownership mindset are essential.
