Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing NBFCs, including RBI regulations. Contract Management*: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners. Legal Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations. Litigation Management: Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and other legal proceedings involving the company. Regulatory Interactions: Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as RBI, and other authorities. Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure legal compliance. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for employees on legal and regulatory requirements. Advisory Role : Provide legal advice to business teams on various matters. As the portfolio is majorly un-secured- keep exploring option on making it secured in structured solutions design Preferred candidate profile : *Qualifications*: Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) with a valid license to practice law. *Experience*: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an NBFC or finance company. *Knowledge*: Strong understanding of laws and regulations governing NBFCs, contract law, and litigation procedures. *Skills*: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Specific skills and experience in handling legal actions where the portfolio is un-secured. Ability to quickly take steps and supports the collections team in formalising the recovery process Keep excellent relationships with the legislative bodies like courts / police offices for pushing through our cases for logical closures 7Keep exploring options of swifts converting the paperwork based on situational demand with the core objective of recovering monies without any regulatory / moral violations Ability to manage and monitor teams spread across multiple locations Excellent collaborative skills as he has to build working relationships with multi-functional teams within the co
