About the Role

Lawyer / Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities

Manage all
land and property-related legal matters
for KL University, its subsidiaries, and sister institutions.
Draft, review, and vet
contracts, agreements, MoUs, sale deeds, lease deeds, indemnities, undertakings
, and other legal documents for the University and its sister companies.
Handle
land acquisition
, title verification, due diligence, and statutory compliance.
Liaise with
revenue authorities, RERA, registration departments
, and external legal consultants.
Provide legal opinions on matters related to land, infrastructure projects, construction, and property disputes.
Represent the University and associated entities in
legal proceedings, negotiations, arbitration
, and compliance matters.
Ensure all legal documents are accurately maintained, updated, and compliant with applicable laws.
Advise management on legal risks, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations.
Maintain systematic records of all property-related documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (
LLB / LLM
).
Minimum
5 years of hands-on experience
in Land Laws, property matters, and legal drafting.
Strong proficiency in
contract drafting, vetting, and legal correspondence
.
Experience in land verification, property registrations, and working with various government departments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, research, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.

Preferred Background

Experience in legal roles within
educational institutions
, corporate organisations, or infrastructure projects.
Prior experience working with
property law firms
or handling large-scale land and property matters.
