Legal Assistant

The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings. 

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to lawyer
• Handle communication with clients
• Locate and develop case relevant information
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in either an Australian or foreign jurisdiction.

• Strong legal drafting and document formatting skills.
• Working knowledge of Australian family law procedures and court requirements is preferred.
• Experience using LEAP or other legal practice management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to take initiative and follow through with solicitor instructions.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Law
• Experience in legal assistance 2-4 years
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
