Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal & Compliance Executive with 2-4 years of relevant experience. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Legal and Compliance department in ensuring that our company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Role Description

Compliance Management:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., data privacy laws like GDPR/PDPA, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), industry-specific regulations).
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential areas of vulnerability.
• Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends that may impact the company and advise on necessary actions.

Legal Support & Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor contracts, service agreements, and client engagements under the supervision of senior counsel.
• Support the management of the contract lifecycle, including tracking key dates, renewals, and terminations.
• Assist with corporate secretarial tasks and maintaining corporate records.
• Provide practical legal and regulatory support to various business units.

Training & Reporting:

• Help develop and deliver effective compliance training programs to educate employees on policies, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in managing whistleblowing channels and investigating reported concerns, ensuring confidentiality and objectivity.
• Support the preparation of reports for senior management and the board on compliance issues, metrics, and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelors degree in law (LL.B.) or a related field. A professional compliance certification is a strong plus.
• Required: 2-4 years of experience in a legal and/or compliance role, preferably within the IT industry
• Experience with core compliance areas such as AML, data privacy, or anti-corruption is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in reviewing and drafting commercial contracts.
