Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
• SaaS and software licensing agreements
• Customer and vendor contracts
• Partnership, integration, and reseller agreements
• NDAs and other standard commercial documents
• Provide legal guidance on

  technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property

  matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including

  GDPR, CCPA

  , and other global data protection frameworks.
• Advise on data protection matters such as

  Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)

  , privacy policies, and internal compliance processes.
• Identify legal and commercial risks associated with business operations and contracts and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Support the business with

  research and advisory on tax compliance and regulatory matters

  , as required, particularly in relation to U.S. digital tax compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including

  product, engineering, sales, finance, and HR

  to enable business initiatives while ensuring legal compliance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the technology and SaaS industry and proactively advise the business on potential impact.
• Assist in developing and improving internal legal processes, templates, and playbooks to support scalability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Law degree from a reputed law school (Integrated or Bachelors degree with LL.B.).

• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial laws

  , with exposure to the technology/SaaS sector.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating

  software, SaaS, and vendor agreements

  , with a solid understanding of how software products function.
• Working knowledge of

  data privacy laws

  (GDPR, CCPA) and technology-related regulatory frameworks.

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience

  in an in-house legal role, law firm, or technology-focused legal position.
• Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills, particularly in reviewing complex commercial contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven negotiation capabilities.
• High level of ownership, independence, and attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritize, manage timelines, and escalate issues appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
