Job Description

You will be responsible for maintaining standards, procedures, guides, templates, and tools associated with the delivery of OMS 2.4. Your role will involve supporting the development and strategic continuous improvement activities to simplify and standardize bp's approach to the delivery of OMS 2.4. Additionally, you will develop and analyze metrics to evaluate the system health of OMS 2.4 across bp's entities and sub-entities. Facilitating the process of developing and embedding learnings from Lessons identified, Learning Alerts, and High Value Learnings throughout bp will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also support, coach, and guide sub-entity organizational learning activities and coordinate the assessment of organizational learning effectiveness. Furthermore, you will be involved in developing, maintaining, and communicating an organizational learning framework and enhancing organizational learning skills and competency for learning advisors and leads. Collaborating with external organizational learning organizations, NOJVs, and industry peers to share feedback, learnings, and new initiatives within bp will also be crucial. Your role will include providing oversight to LENS, establishing requirements, and guidance for improvement. You will support the Organizational Learning and Investigation team by mentoring, coaching, and guiding business-based investigators. Additionally, you will provide support to investigation activities to develop investigation capability and competency for the systematic implementation of OMS 4.4. To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. You should possess a deep understanding of organizational learning and implementation practices, bps OMS Framework, HSE&C, operations, engineering, process and operational safety concepts, risk management, and lifesaving rules. Moreover, a comprehensive understanding of bp's businesses and incident investigation requirements is essential. Desirable skills include experience in investigation, risk management, self-verification, OMS, learning, digital systems, communication, influencing, and working in UK/US shifts.
