Lead/Senior DevOps Engineer

In this role, you will be part of the Tech and Product team responsible for innovating and maintaining a massive distributed systems engineering platform that serves millions of users daily. The platform needs to be highly reliable, fast, secure, and customizable to meet diverse user demands. You will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges alongside agile engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure high availability of clusters running technologies like Kubernetes, software load balancers, and service mesh - Troubleshoot real production issues, expanding your knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem services - Contribute code to drive improvements and automation efforts using Python, Golang, Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, or Jenkins - Enhance platform visibility through monitoring and metrics implementation - Implement self-healing mechanisms to proactively fix issues - Collaborate with other Infrastructure teams to improve communication and collaboration - Evaluate new technologies to solve problems as needed Qualifications Required: - Experience operating large-scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments - Strong troubleshooting skills in complex distributed systems - Proficiency in Linux Systems Administration and scripting/programming languages like Python, GoLang - Basic knowledge of Networking protocols and components - Familiarity with devops tools, monitoring tools, Kubernetes, Docker, Service Mesh, AWS, Terraform, and Spinnaker - Continuous learner with critical thinking skills and great communication abilities You may also work on highly scalable, performant distributed systems with durable data storage capabilities, ensuring high availability of databases. Practical knowledge of distributed systems, system programming, cloud deployments, Kubernetes, and APIs from public cloud vendors are highly desired skills.
