Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of Salesforce's Tech and Product team, responsible for innovating and maintaining a massive distributed systems engineering platform that delivers hundreds of features to tens of millions of users daily. Your role will involve ensuring the platform is highly reliable, lightning fast, secure, and customizable to meet the diverse needs of the user base. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage a multi-substrate Kubernetes and microservices platform powering Core CRM and various applications across Salesforce - Ensure high availability of clusters running technologies like Kubernetes, software load balancers, service mesh, etc. - Contribute code to drive improvement and automate day-to-day operations using Python, Golang, Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, Jenkins - Enhance platform visibility through monitoring and metrics implementation - Implement self-healing mechanisms to proactively fix issues and reduce manual labor - Collaborate with other Infrastructure teams, developers, and architects to improve communication and problem-solving skills - Evaluate new technologies to solve complex problems and demonstrate a passion for live site service ownership Qualifications Required: - Experience operating large-scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies in complex distributed systems - Proficiency in Linux Systems Administration and scripting/programming languages like Python, GoLang - Knowledge of Networking protocols and components, monitoring tools, devops tools - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Service Mesh, AWS, Terraform, Spinnaker - Continuous learner and critical thinker with good communication skills - Practical knowledge of highly scalable, performant distributed systems and data storage capabilities - Understanding of distributed systems, system programming, and working with system resources - Hands-on experience in deploying code in public cloud environments and working with APIs from cloud vendors Additional Company Details: Salesforce offers a comprehensive benefits package including well-being reimbursement, parental leave, adoption assistance, and more.
