Lead QA Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer at Greater Goods India in Guindy, Chennai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of platforms by leading a small team of 23 QA engineers. Your responsibilities will include: - **Team Leadership**: - Lead and mentor a team of 23 QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and adherence to structured testing processes. - **Manual Testing Excellence**: - Design, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases covering functionality, edge cases, negative scenarios, and regression testing. - **Automation Testing**: - Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright for web and Appium for mobile. Drive automation of regression, sanity, and end-to-end test suites. - **Web & Mobile App QA**: - Conduct extensive cross-browser and cross-device testing for responsive web and mobile applications. - **Database & SQL**: - Utilize SQL to ensure data integrity, assist in backend validation, and generate or sanitize test data as required. - **CI/CD & DevOps Integration**: - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable early defect detection and faster releases. - **AI-Driven Testing Optimization**: - Explore and leverage AI tools for test case generation, regression prioritization, defect prediction, and reducing manual effort. - **Collaboration & Reporting**: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality KPIs, track defects, and drive continuous improvement. - **Process & Documentation**: - Ensure adherence to standards for defect tracking, test documentation, and maintain traceability of requirements to test cases. **Required Skills**: - Expertise in manual testing, creating structured test plans, and test cases. - Hands-on experience with Playwright, Appium, and automation framework development. - Proficiency in Postman for API testing and SQL for database testing. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes. - Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation. - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and managing QA tasks. - Strong leadership and communication skills for team management and reporting. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Experience in testing IoT/connected devices. - Knowledge of security testing principles and tools. - Familiarity with AWS for environment setup and monitoring. - Experience with Jira for issue tracking and test management. - Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.,
